Is your child a big fan of Hannah Montana? If yes, then you probably had Santa bring her a Hannah Montana toy this past Christmas or maybe you bought her some for her birthday. I’m sure with all the recalls you were probably really worried about what to get her right? Bad news folks, the news is reporting that The Center for Environmental Health is stating several toys actually have high levels of lead paint in them and Hannah Montana toys is one of them. Two of the toys are listed below, no clue on the others yet but I’ll keep everyone posted.

Did you know today is Barbie’s Birthday? Barbie turned 49 years old today, the first launch of the fashion icon, Barbie, was in 1959. Some of us weren’t even born, while others joyful got the first doll on their birthdays. Were you one that got a 1959 Barbie doll?

Today, there are tons of Barbie dolls and accessories to choose from, but those very first years were very limited. The dolls were straight armed with a slight bend, legs that didn’t bend and a bathing suit. The dolls of course had the long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. The first dolls were created by co-founder of Mattel (like they are today), Elliot Handler. Actually it was his wife Ruth that came up with the idea after seeing her daughter playing with paper dolls. Why wouldn’t children want to play with a toy “barbie?” That’s the shortened version of the birth of Barbie.

When I saw the “Hasbro Playskool Step Start Walk ‘n Ride” in the store I thought it looked too cute to pass up and loads of fun. The first time I had seen it I did pass it up and it was on sale at the time for only $15, wish I would’ve got it before it went back up. But it was well worth the money.

It’s perfect for both a child that is learning to walk or one that already knows how to walk. The Walk n’ Ride can both sit down like a little green car or stand upright for your child to hold. There is a small yellow handle they can grip and walk around with, more like push around.

The toy company Mattel Inc and Jakks is teaming up with wrestling companies such as World Wrestling Entertainment Inc and TNA Entertainment. I’m sure those little boys are going to have a ball with this one. Now not only will they get to watch their favorite wrestlers on tv but now they can actually fight for them. Granted the toys will not be released until 2010, which is in just two years. Imagine the Christmas and birthday lists that year. Who do you think your child will choose? Will it be WWE or TNA?

Cabbage Patch Kids have been popping up all over the world, but now there is even more of a demand. So much of a demand that one company, PlayAlong, has decided to bring back the Original Cabbage Patch Kids. Did you have one of them? I remember my first Cabbage Patch Kid, her name was Nadine and she had brown yarn hair and freckles all over her face.
