Who Will Win?

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

This year all heels are out as three leading women compete against one another. Who will win though in the end? The three ladies are: Barbie, Bratz and of course Hannah Monatana.

First up- Barbie has been around for over 50 years and she has a ton of different types out there that little girls will love. She has a ton of accessories, places to live, vehicles, men in her life as well as a different one coming out 12 times a year.

Next up- The Bratz dolls, you know the one that is in war right now with Barbie herself. She’s the barbie that looks more like a teen and loves her fashion items.

Finally, we have Disney’s own, Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana. You just know every little girl has her own their wish list. So what doll will win out in the end? No one knows until the end of the year. What’s your guess?

Hasbro Donates $300,000 of Games to Library

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

On National Gaming Day, November 15th, Hasbro decided to donate $300,000 in games to the American Library Association. This is in the hopes of getting more people to visit their local libraries.

For those that aren’t sure, this was 16,000 games. The game of choice happened to be PICTUREKA! which normally costs just around $20. The game is for anyone 6 years of age and higher, by that I mean even grandma and grandpa would like it.

Hasbro Launches Giving Tree for Children

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Hasbro knows it’s all about the Children, especially during the holiday seasons. I mean, without them they wouldn’t be in business. This past Tuesday Hasbro helped launch the Children’s Giving Tree down in Springfield Massachusettes. For those that do not know the giving tree is a giant tree filled with little wishes from the children.

Keep in mind if you have a child that won’t be getting much of a Christmas you can add their name to the tree with an item they would like. Or if you’d like you can take a name, get that item and bring it back to them. These children will have a great Christmas because someone thought of them this year.

Classic Board Games on Wii

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Remember sitting at the dinner table at night playing games like Sorry, Monopoly or even Connect Four? Well now you can play them on the Wii. Yep they’ve brought back all the old classic board games but made them available on the big screen.

Which games are on the Wii?

-  Connect Four

-  Boggle

-  Yahtzee

-  Battleship

-  Sorry

-  Sorry Sliders (this is newer)

By the sounds of it there are two games that just aren’t as good on the Wii as they are on the board, those are Sorry and Battleship. On Battleship you must zoom in to get the exact grid location you want to ask. Sorry doesn’t allow you to view the board and makes it harder to play.

On the Connect Four, the Mr.Potato Head helps you put the pieces in the slot. Very cute, makes you think of Toy Story.

2010 Mustang Hot Wheels

Ford Mustang showed off the 2010  model in Los Angeles this past week,.  Now you can actually own it for $1, the catch, it isn’t what you think. This Mustang comes in a sealed package and can fit in the palm of your hand. What is it?

The 2010 Ford Mustang by Hot Wheels. This little beauty will be available to purchase as early as December 1, 2008. This is when they will appear at the LA Auto Show, on racks beside the Ford 2010 Mustang.

These would make great stocking stuffers.

Mattel Turns Goth

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

New MATTEL 2008 Hard Rock Cafe Barbie Doll Gold Label PUNK HIGHLY LIMITED EDITION COLLECTIBLE

Mattel is releasing yet another new Barbie, just in time for that "Black Friday" even too. This Barbie is a "Goth Barbie" which I can see a big hit for many pre-teens and teens. I mean she’ll be THE thing this year.

The Goth Barbie is wearing a black and red corset and fingerless gloves, of course she has black hair and ivory colored skin with dark lipstick. Now she isn’t just any Barbie doll, she’s one for collectors so she cost around $70. She comes with her very own guitar, fishnet stockings, silver jewelry and a beautiful box.
