Lead Paint in Hannah Montana Toys

by

Is your child a big fan of Hannah Montana? If yes, then you probably had Santa bring her a Hannah Montana toy this past Christmas or maybe you bought her some for her birthday. I’m sure with all the recalls you were probably really worried about what to get her right? Bad news folks, the news is reporting that The Center for Environmental Health is stating several toys actually have high levels of lead paint in them and Hannah Montana toys is one of them. Two of the toys are listed below, no clue on the others yet but I’ll keep everyone posted.

Girls Rock backpack from Walmart.com - This is one backpack my 7-year-old daughter wanted for this school year, especially since it states “Girls Rock.” She’s always telling her brother this and he’s always saying girls drool, ya know it’s the whole sibling rivalry going on.

Secret Star wallet from Toys ‘R Us is just the perfect size to be carried around, attached at the hip or tossed into a purse. But this collector’s item seems to have a bit of poison attached to it. There are lead paint kits that you can test to make sure whether or not your two items have lead paint in them. While neither one have been recalled there is only a matter of time before they are, be prepared and if there is an update I’ll let ya’ll know. I guess now I’ll wait to hear if those barbies get recalled.
