Ever wonder what other countries voted their number one favorite toy was? Well it seems someone took a survey and Britain says LEGO is their favorite toy. Course I can’t blame them, I mean they have LEGO for just about everything these days and all characters.
You’ve got plastic bricks that hold together in mini form, regular form, bigger and of course your giant. It’s perfect for all ages which is why it would definitely be a great item for everyone in one household to enjoy. Plus, you’ve got all those competitions to make the world’s largest mall out of LEGO or a mini replica of New York City. Its all about imagination, or seeing if you can follow the small booklet to figure out how to create the object.
Do you have legos in your house? What’s your favorite one?

Hasbro dropped me an email showing me their brand new YouTube video for their special summer event. Guess what it is? Ready? It is their campaign for the Toys For Tots this year and of course they have a Marine Drill Sargeant in the front lines.
Now what the video doesn’t tell you is that for every toy/game purchased between now and August 2 (my daughter’s birthday) they will match it up to $400,000. That’s a whole lot of toys for the Toys for Tots. Can you imagine the smiles on those little girls and boys? Even on the teens they will please this year?

The newest American Girl Doll movie has come to life on the big screen called, "Kitt Kittredge: An American Girl Movie." Kit always wanted to be a writer/reporter and now with times she’s exploring all. Kitt is growing up in the depression and really learns a lesson about it when her father’s car dealership goes under. Now Kitt must learn all about what it’s like to work for your food. It’s a great movie and one that should definitely be watched by the younger generation.
Little girls will love owning their very own Kit Doll which comes with her very own mini book for a whopping $13. Do you have this Kit Mini Doll? What’s your opinion of her. My daughters have been wanting to start on this collection since they were three. I may break down and buy them for christmas this year. Have your child sit down and read the book before watching the movie, there are a ton of fun ideas that you can teach your child after they read it. One in particular is having them compare prices from back then and today, or they can do a comparison between name brand cereals to non brand. Ask them ways they can have fun without spending a lot of money, for instance going to the beach, a picnic, etc.
What are some ideas you can think of? Do you think it is wise to teach children about money? I have always told my kids the truth about money, the good and the bad and hope that when they grow up they will never have the issues I have had. What about you? Do you share money stories with your children? Why or why not?

Looking for the best ways to cool off this summer but not sure what’s hot and what’s not? Look no further, I’ve got four kids and know just what you are looking for. Forget cheap toys that’ll break and I won’t even include pools because …. well come on, we all know we need one.
Super Soakers are big items during the summer and for those that are some how unaware these are those giant water guns.
Hasbro Super Soaker Bottle Shot- This water gun comes complete with bottle so you can quickly fill it up and soak your opponent.

I got this book a few years ago and read it, at the time my kids weren’t quite into reading, however they are now. My son gobbled up this book in one sitting and loved it. I think my daughter loved it more because it
teaches a few foreign words in it, not really on purpose but the character Joey, uses them and explains what they mean during his writing.

#60 is the winner of Reviewing Toys Bloggy Giveaway: The Chronicles of Narnia: Lucy’s Gift Replica. I’ll be emailing Miss Heidi in the morning. Congratulations and I’ll be stopping by everyone’s blogs this weekend.
#60 Miss Heidi Says:
April 24th, 2008 at 8:55 am
When I met my husband he bought me a copy of the Chronicles of Narnia. I could relate to a lot of it because my religious background is a lot like that of C.S. Lewis. I also like his book the Screwtape Letters. Highly recommended. Thanks.
